In Defense of Animals (IDA), the Society of PEACE, the Humane Leadership Academy and the ASPCA are proud to present a workshop on "Creating Service-Based Humane Education Youth Projects via the Jane Goodall Institute's Roots & Shoots Program." Roots & Shoots groups create and work on projects that improve three areas at one time: people, animals and the Earth. Come to this workshop and learn how to start a Roots & Shoots group with kids ages K-College in your community.
What: Humane Education Workshop on Roots & Shoots Program
When: Monday, May 12 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Field of Greens Restaurant, 2320 W. Alabama, Houston, TX
This workshop will be presented by IDA East Coast Director Valerie Sicignano, and Mike Phillips of the Urban Cat League, who is also a licensed veterinary technician. Vegan snacks and refreshments will be served. RSVP's are required, so RSVP early to reserve a spot, and call Kristen at (832) 563-1858 for more information.
