Speak Up for the Animals at Vegan Toastmasters!

Hello My Animal Advocate Friends,

Come join us for the triumphant return of Vegan Toastmasters on Saturday, November 7th. PLEASE NOTE THE MEETING STARTS AT 10 AM.

Saturday, November 7th from 10:00 am - 11:30 pm there is another Vegan Toastmasters meeting. These meetings are wonderful! Basically, it's a group set up to help people with public speaking, and more specifically how to discuss vegan issues fluidly. Have you ever been confronted by someone regarding an animal rights issue and you wish you knew exactly what to say as eloquently as possible? What about speaking to City Council about why they should pass a ban on declawing? This group helps you deal with those situations.

It's an amazingly fun and friendly atmosphere. I look forward to going every time. A lot of the time, people bring vegan treats to share. There is not any obligation or expectation for guests to bring food, but if you really want to bring a vegan item to share, you are welcome to do so.

If you can't make it to this next meeting, perhaps you can join us in the future. We meet on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

This meeting will be at the Whole Foods store located at National and Barrington, on the second floor (look for the Vegan Toastmasters sign and go through the employee lounge on the 2nd floor). Please park on the street in the residential area around the store, because the store parking lot only allows 1 hr parking and the meeting lasts 1.5 hrs.

The mission of Vegan Toastmasters is to provide a supportive environment for vegans to learn and practice speaking and leadership skills. As vegans, we need to put forth as strong and effective a message as possible on behalf of those beings without a voice. Speeches relating to the many aspects of veganism are encouraged.
