The day after Thanksgiving is touted as the biggest shopping day of the year, but animal advocates know it as Fur Free Friday, a day to remind consumers to leave all fur and fur-trimmed products off their holiday shopping lists.

Before being made into fur coats or trim, millions of fur-bearing animals each year are caged, trapped, drowned, beaten, electrocuted, suffocated, and skinned. Please join us in drawing attention to their suffering.

Posters, leaflets and banners will be provided, so just bring yourself and anyone you can recruit to join you. Free hand warmers available for the first 20 participants!

There will also be a west side Fur Free Friday demonstration held in front of Sabau Furs (11310 Detroit Ave) from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on the same day.
