I'm glad to meet others who are working to protect animals. I volunteer as director of EarthSave Baltimore, a nonprofit that helps people make healthier, compassionate, Earth-friendly food choices. Ask for my free monthly e-news about our veg events.
I've been vegetarian for 19 years and vegan for 18. Letting go of the dairy products made a big difference in how I felt... had much more energy and stopped getting the sinus infections that used to bother me two or three times a year.
I love to sing & play guitar and hear live music. Enjoy listening to my large CD collection, especially the great stuff from the 60s like the Beatles, Byrds, Zombies, C,S & N, Stones, Animals, Moby Grape, & Hendrix. Also play tennis and Scrabble.
I organize the vegan potluck dinners and lectures for Earthsave Baltimore, & like to table for Earthsave, & do talks about the veg lifestyle for workplaces, churches, grocery stores, etc. I also organize monthly Baltimore Veg & Vegan Meetup groups.
I remember feeling real badly when I learned at the age of three that we kill animals for food, and I admired vegetarians at a real young age. As an adult I learned how crummy the living conditions are for farmed animals, & decided to give up meat.
"Please join me, if you can, at the EarthSave vegan dinner/lecture series on the second Saturday from 6-9 pm at 10210 S. Dolfield Rd. in Owings Mills. For details, write me, Don, at baltimore@earthsave.org."
