Hello, I am an 18 year old from a small town in Ohio. In this town of 1 to 2 thousand are about 200 pitt bulls. Myself being the owner of one. I know the preception of pitt bulls are bad because they look "vicious". But I believe the attitude of an animal is on the owners hands. While having her, we have 3 other dogs and 1 cat. The 3 dogs combined weight might be 12 pounds. With my pitt bull being the runt of the litter, surviving parvo twice, and being very undersized it wasnt easy for her. On March 1st, 2008 my dog was militiously killed by a Kenton City Policemen. The same cop who picked my dog up and had her in the back seat of his car a half hour before. He claimed that she was attacking him. Which this strikes me funny because for 2 years she has never turned on one of our smaller animals, nor any of the people brought to our home. He shot my dog in cold blood behind my house. This particular cop has a reputation with pitt bulls, almost 2 years ago he held a gun to a dogs head outside a door and said if it barked again he would shoot it. Im not on here to down play anyone, I just lost something I love. I know that in this crooked society its hard to defeat the law. I am not sure what the outcome is going to be with this cop and my family. But I do know that a family is now one member short. Thank you for taking your time and reading this. If you have suggestions or need to tell me anything feel free. Thank you.

Tyler,
I'm so sorry that you lost your dog that way. How awful! I don't think there is much to do, the cops have a upper hand in this one. Its a real shame. I like pit bulls, they are to be respected not feared. I'm so sorry for your loss. |
